All my pain and suffering from teething came to a successful climax today when my gums announced their new addition: my first tooth.
Let me describe it to you: It's small, but I'm a kid, so that's expected. It's hard. It's white. And it's razor sharp. Like so sharp that when I grabbed Mommy's finger and put it in my mouth, she yelped when my tooth nicked it.
At some point, I'll use my tooth for many things, like chewing food up. And for making my already beautiful smile a little shinier. And for making my sneers a little more intimidating.
But for now, my tooth is a brave lonely soldier awaiting his friends to show up to do battle.
I love you, tooth. You were well worth the trouble.
